Charger key advantages (USP)
Key charger advantages defining the SRP fast charger
The SRP Zuid DC fast charger is developed as an integrated system rather than a collection of separate components. Designed and engineered in-house, and built in collaboration with established industrial partners, the charger combines fast charging, energy storage, and control technology within a single platform. These charger key advantages are the result of deliberate architectural choices focused on grid interaction, scalability, serviceability, and long-term operation in professional environments.
True all-in-one fast charging + energy storage
Where many solutions separate charging infrastructure and energy storage, the SRP Zuid DC fast charger integrates both functions into a single system. Built-in LiFePO4 battery storage enables local energy buffering, reducing peak loads on the grid and limiting the need for heavy upstream infrastructure.
This approach allows consistent charging performance, even at locations with restricted grid capacity.

Key charger advantages that define the SRP Zuid DC fast charger

True all-in-one fast charging + energy storage
Where many solutions separate charging infrastructure and energy storage, the SRP Zuid DC fast charger integrates both functions into a single system. Built-in LiFePO4 battery storage enables local energy buffering, reducing peak loads on the grid and limiting the need for heavy upstream infrastructure.
This approach allows consistent charging performance, even at locations with restricted grid capacity.
High power on a low grid connection
Conventional DC fast chargers typically rely on high-capacity grid connections to deliver peak power. The SRP Zuid system is designed differently.
Through intelligent energy buffering and load management, high charging power can be delivered from a relatively modest 3-phase + N 16A connection, enabling fast charging at sites where traditional solutions are not feasible.
Fully modular, 100% scalable architecture
Many charging systems scale by adding complete charging units. The SRP Zuid DC fast charger uses a modular architecture based on individual 12 kWh LiFePO4 battery modules.
This modular design allows capacity to be expanded or adapted over time, without replacing the core system. As energy demand grows, the system grows with it.
Professional 19” rack-based design
The charger is built on a standardized 19” rack architecture rather than a proprietary cabinet layout. This design choice supports true plug-and-play serviceability and simplifies maintenance and component replacement.
The result is reduced service time, lower maintenance costs, and improved system uptime. These are critical factors for commercial and fleet applications.
Developed with industry leaders, built for long-term reliability
Development and deployment are carried out in cooperation with established industrial partners. The system is engineered by SRP Zuid, developed in partnership with Phoenix Contact, and installed and serviced by SPIE.
This combination ensures industrial-grade components, proven engineering practices, and long-term support throughout the system lifecycle.
Future-proof technology built for continuous upgrade
Charging infrastructure must adapt to evolving standards, regulations, and operational requirements. The SRP Zuid DC fast charger is designed with an open and upgradable architecture, allowing new functionalities and technologies to be integrated without fundamental system changes.
This protects the installation against early obsolescence and supports long-term investment planning.
Tailored engineering, not one-size-fits-all
Rather than offering a fixed, standardized product, SRP Zuid approaches each installation as an engineering project. System configuration is aligned with site conditions, available grid capacity, and operational requirements.
This results in solutions that are engineered around real-world constraints, rather than forcing sites to adapt to the charger.
